Beautiful Chinese Ginger Jar & Lid – 18th / 19th Century
This beautiful Chinese ginger jar with its original lid dates from the late 18th to early 19th century and is a fine example of classic underglaze blue porcelain. The jar is elegantly decorated with the traditional “precious objects” pattern, a symbolic motif representing wealth, culture, and good fortune.
The painting is finely executed, with crisp cobalt-blue tones and well-balanced decoration encircling the body and lid. The harmonious design and quality of the brushwork reflect the enduring influence of earlier imperial styles.
The base bears a Kangxi four-character mark, adding to the historical interest and decorative appeal of this piece.
