An impressive extra-large size example dating from the Kangxi period. The vase has a beautiful imperial attendants with playing children figural landscape design that surrounds the entire body. The vase has some transitional period influences indicating that the vase likely dates from the earlier Kangxi period. The vase is one of the larger size Kangxi period bottle vases we have personally ever seen. The vase is a wonderful example to study in person. The vase has some minor damage to the top rim that is well worth having restored if desired. This great, and we believe rarely found example is being offered Without Reserve!
Condition: Estate-fresh, minor damage to the top rim area as seen in images that could be restored if desired. The vases neck is slightly bent when viewed from certain angles, which we believe would be found on most examples of this size and early age. The vase is otherwise in substantially good overall condition with no body damage and no further repairs.
Size: 18 inches tall x 8 inches wide.
